2020 Teens Summer Reading Program

  • Dates: June 25-August 24, 2020 
  • Ages: 11 and up
  • How to Join: Create a READsquared account to log your reading online or Download a paper reading log here to win prizes!  
  • Prizes: This program is designed for teens age 11 to 17 to encourage life-long reading habits. Earn points for every book you read:
    • 1 Book = 300 points
    • 2 Books = 600 points + a free ice cream.   
    • 3 Books = 900 points,  Grand Finale Raffle entry 
    • 4+ Books = Earn extra raffle tickets
    • All Teens who reach 600 points and beyond will be added to our Summer Reading Wall of Fame.

Teens can participate in a special Virtual MARTIAL ARTS KUNG FU Demonstration with Shifu Alex Lamas! Everyone will learn about the library's summer events and this year's Teen Summer Reading Program and Prizes!

Have fun and make new friends this summer while middle grade author Eileen Moskowitz-Palma takes you through the step-by-step process to writing a short story about friendship. This five-week program will have four writing sessions and one casual book club meeting with a Q & A and discussion about Eileen’s middle grade novel Camp Clique. (limited seats for 5 weeks program, register ASAP to secure your space).

Online Babysitting workshop3-Day Online Babysitting Workshop
To Register – August 5-7 @ 10 am

In this Introduction to Babysitting Course, participants will learn interviewing tips, communication skills, ages and stages of young babies and toddlers, safety and first aid tips, and feeding and caring for children, including diaper changing. Certificates of completion will be emailed after the workshop.
