Please submit Marble Award nominations to the Deputy Village Clerk in person at Village Hall or via email at jferretti@tuckahoe-ny.com

Qualities of Marble:
1. Durable
2. Strong
3. Tolerant of its environment
4. Diverse, various impurities in the limestone give marble its wide range of beautiful colors and patterns
5. Historical value, Marble has been carved and shaped for centuries, from the ancient Greeks and Romans to our quarries and artisans in Tuckahoe


Tuckahoe Marble Award Criteria:
The Tuckahoe Marble Award may be granted to a maximum of one Tuckahoe resident per calendar year who meets one or more of the following criteria and deserves recognition for their accomplishments and positive impact on Village residents and/or government.
1. (Durable) This person has made a lasting and meaningful contribution to the Village of Tuckahoe that will withstand the test of time.
2. (Strong) A profound strength of character, conviction, or dedication to Tuckahoe and neighboring committees.
3. (Tolerant) An exceptional ability to include and assist all members of the Tuckahoe community in an effort to improve the quality of life of neighbors.
4. (Diverse) This person has made efforts to strengthen Tuckahoe by either facilitating events that highlight the rich diversity within the Village, or whose personal accomplishments have helped to bring all Tuckahoe residents together to celebrate the accomplishments of residents from every part of our community.
5. (Historic Value) This person has demonstrated a remarkable ability to both preserve local history and educate the local community on Tuckahoe’s rich historic and cultural heritage. This commitment to history has withstood the test of time and impacted multiple generations of Village residents.
