Reference Service

Come in, call or submit your questions online. We will be glad to help you with your information and research needs. With our extensive range of databases and online searching capabilities available through our system, we can call upon a vast amount of outside resources if we do not have the answer on hand.

Homebound Services

If you are a Tuckahoe resident who can't get to the library because you are ill or disabled, call the library at 961-2121. If you qualify, we will arrange for a volunteer to deliver library materials to your home.

Computer/Internet Access

The Tuckahoe Public Library has personal computers, printers and assorted software for public use. There is a charge of 15 cents per printed page for b&w and 50 cents per page for color. Other computers in the library support library databases, providing access to the catalogs of other county public and academic libraries.

One-on-One Technology Instruction

The Tuckahoe Public Library provides personal instruction with a device, app, website or other technology upon request. Call the library at (914) 961-2121 to arrange an appointment. You may use your own device or the devices available at the Library for your lesson.

Universal Return

All public libraries in Westchester allow for what we call "Universal Return" which means you can return all materials to any public library in Westchester except for Interlibrary Loan books which would need to be returned to the library from which you borrowed them from. Those books come from a college or from another state and would have something on them to indicate that they should be returned to the borrowing library.

Other Services

Among the many other services your Tuckahoe Public Library has to offer are the following:

  • Outside, off-hours book return for all materials
  • Public programs for both children and adults
  • Wireless capability
  • Handicapped accessible and equipped
  • Tax forms
