Historic Preservation Task Force Members Needed

Mayor Omayra Andino and the Tuckahoe Board of Trustees intend to form a Historic Preservation Task Force to engage in a comprehensive community-oriented review for the consideration of historic preservation processes and legislation.

The Board is seeking volunteers to serve on this important task force.  Experience sought includes architects, historians, real estate professionals or anyone with an interest in historical preservation and planning.

For example the HPTF will be tasked with the following objectives:

• Research existing historic preservation legislation, commissions, and historic districts within Westchester  County
• Identify and inventory sites with historical value in Tuckahoe
• Research studies describing the potential effects of historic designation on a community
• Create preliminary recommendations for consideration by the Board of Trustees
