Westchester County holds the civil service examination for Police Officers and Spanish Speaking Police Officers to fill vacancies for positions in the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Services and the police departments of the Cities of Peekskill and Rye and the towns and villages in Westchester County.

Candidates considered for appointment to the Tuckahoe Police Department must be of good moral character and must satisfy the physical fitness, medical and any other requirements prescribed by the New York State Bureau for Municipal Police (B.M.P.) pursuant to Section 840 of the New York State Executive Law.
